The Sony HT-A9 is a premium wireless home theatre system designed to deliver immersive cinematic surround sound without the complexity of traditional AV receiver-based speaker setups. Featuring Sony’s revolutionary 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, the system intelligently creates multiple phantom speakers around your room, producing a rich and spacious Dolby Atmos and DTS:X experience using just four wireless speakers.

Unlike conventional surround systems that require precise speaker placement, the HT-A9 automatically measures the position and height of each speaker using built-in dual microphones and optimizes the sound field to suit your room layout. This allows flexible speaker positioning while still achieving highly immersive and accurate surround audio performance.

Each speaker features an up-firing driver, soft dome tweeter, and Sony’s X-Balanced speaker technology for wider sound dispersion, clear vocals, and enhanced bass response. The wireless design minimizes cable clutter, making installation cleaner and more elegant for modern living spaces.

The HT-A9 supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Hi-Res Audio, 360 Reality Audio, and advanced HDMI 2.1 gaming features including VRR and ALLM for PlayStation 5 compatibility. Built-in Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth provide seamless music streaming and smart home integration.

When paired with compatible Sony BRAVIA TVs, Acoustic Center Sync allows the TV speakers to work together with the HT-A9 system for even more accurate dialogue positioning and immersive audio alignment. Optional Sony wireless subwoofers can also be added for deeper and more powerful bass performance.
